Exotic Flowers of Rio de Janeiro

As promised, here is a detailed photo essay showing all the exotic flowers I discovered in Rio de Janeiro’s Botanical Garden.

In this garden, I was able to get a glimpse of the magnificent flora found in Brazil.  What surprised me most were the bromeliads.  My mom used to have a bunch of these in our backyard.  However, it was fascinating to discover so many colors and shapes.  The Amazonian water lilies were spectacular too.
